No Road Is Too Long If You Have A Good Company!
Once in a lifetime everyone wishes of going on a bike trip during the college days of the enthusiast life so was ours!
One fine day I along with my friends bunked the college and went to Domino’s for some cheesy delicious Pizza party. After reaching over there everybody ordered the food and we waited for our order number, in the meanwhile a very close friend of mine showed me some bike trip videos and each of us was so inspired that even we decided to fix a bike trip from Delhi to Shimla this time as we have never been to Shimla before.
Though none of us was so sure about the trip so I just wrote the itinerary on the tissue paper and kept it in my pocket, the very next morning I received a call from my friend and we finally made the decision to go on a bike trip. Sometimes we need a break from the daily hustle bustle of the life and what can be a better idea than having a Delhi to Shimla bike trip.
I still remember the day it was February 18th 2016 when we started our trip to Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). Shimla popularly known as Queen of hills is located in the Northern part of India and is at a distance of approximately 380 km from Delhi.
Once we finally ensured our plan all of us went to Karol Bagh to book the Royal Enfield and everybody was ready with the backpack to carry the important things like camera, wallet, motorcycle, documents etc. We left the city around six in the evening from Delhi.
On the way, it was a very foggy vision and riding then become a stupendous task for us. The scene has left long-lasting impressions on my mind. Though the bike was moving at a very constant speed still we were quite cautious but it was also a fun for us to ride when we could not see a single thing in front of us.
Sunset Point Kasauli
Then we reached the Chandigarh and have some Mc Aloo Tikki’s ? for the hungry belly. And then without any stoppage, we ride our Monk and reached our first destination that is Kasauli and here we picked up the Sunset point view, that was stunning and the place offers a sunset view between Kasauli Hills that is a perfect view.
Jakhu Temple Shimla
Next morning everybody was ready to leave for the Shimla Hill station here we enjoy the ride and explore the Mall Road and enjoy the tasty foods of Himachal Pradesh. And then we go to the Jakhoo Temple – Hanuman Ji Ka Mandir, Jakhoo Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla, dedicated to Hindu deity, Hanuman.
It is situated on Jakhoo Hill, 2.5 km /1.3 miles east from the Ridge, Shimla at a height of 2,455 m (8,000 feet) above sea level. This is considered as world’s tallest statue at 108 feet. There are so many monkeys which disturb you at every moment.
At Shimla, there are many destinations for exploring like- Ridge, Mall Road, Toy Train, Jakhoo Temple, Church etc.
After Shimla, we go for our next destination that is Kufri where we see live snowfall and enjoyed it and enjoy the ass ride to reach the fun spot that is Snow Point. From here you can explore all four Dhams of Himalayas.
And then we return back to the Shimla and really night ride was also an amazing experience for us but it is dangerous too when snow stuck on the roads, the roads become slippery and chances for mishappening, we experienced the same.
Then we back to the hotel at Shimla where we enjoy our night in the Mountains. And here we think to go for Narkanda but there is huge snowfall which is the reason for road blockage and unable to go further.
Best Delhi to Shimla bike trip ever with my partner in crime. You should go on this nearest weekend getaways from Delhi and collect some moments and turn yourself into a storyteller.
